Crime and Punishment by Nick B

It was a dark and rainy night. A group of kids enter a prison shut down for mistreatment of human life. A guide greets them with a British accent. She leads them into the prison and shares grizzly stories of prisoners being mistreated, in solitary, and even hanged.
I really enjoyed the story of confederation father Thomas D'Arcy McGee's assassin who was hung on site and was buried outside

Reflections of Military Museum by Davis

My favourite subject is social because we learn from our past mistakes. To me, going to the military museum is the best! Back home in Calgary we do have a military museum but Ottawa's is huge. Some of the interesting things were that on November 11, the unknown soldier tomb there glows with sunlight at 11am each year.
Another thing we saw was Hitler's car. Its roof was always down to show he was not scared but the only reason he sat up front was because he got car sick.

We saw many interesting things and they made all of us think of
military sacrifices of many Canadians

Deep thoughts, by Mia

Canada has a lot of diverse ecosystems, one of which is the St Lawrence. The river has a large array of fish and bird life that call it home. You wouldn't think that so many fish live in such a cold river as the St Lawrence- we saw sturgeon, dogfish and even sting rays at the Biodome. Did you know the St Lawrence had sting rays?
At the Biodome, I really appreciated this area's diversity.

Reflection from Jack

Seeing the beginning buildings of Montreal was really interesting. The city and the stories behind it were awesome.
For instance they would toss their sewage into the St Lawrence and we also saw the original graves of Montreal

Reflection by Tyler -day 1

Today we went to old Quebec. The buildings were old and looked European. We looked at a lot of military stuff and the old fort. We went to a museum and watched a cool 3D movie and had a competition loading cannons and muskets. Awesome day!

Reflection by Nick H

It was nice to visit the Huron village. It was interesting to learn about these people and their way of life. In many ways the Huron are quite different from other First Nations groups, being a mix of Algonquin and Iroquois cultures. This us much like the Metis as they are a mix of Native and French cultures. Overall it has been quite an experience
